Openoffice 3.0 released

SUN நிறுவனம் தனது இலவச ஓப்பிண்ஒவ்வீஸ் மென்பொருளின் 3.0 பதிப்பினை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. மூன்று வருடகாலமாக மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்த இந்த மென்பொருள் பல புதிய வசதிகளுடன் மைக்ரோசொவ்ற் ஒவ்வீஸ் மென்பொருளுக்கு இணையானதாக வெளிவந்துள்ளது.

வல்லிபுரத்தாழ்வார் – யாழ்ப்பாணம்

சிங்கை என்று யாழ்ப்பாணத்தரசர் காலத்தில் புகழ்பெற்றிருந்த பருத்தித்துறைப்பிரதேசத்தில் அலைகடலின் அருகே குடிகொண்டிருக்கின்ற வல்லிபுரத்தாழ்வார் திருத்தலத்தில் திருவிழா கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றது. இன்று எட்டாம் திருவிழாவிற்கு போகின்ற பாக்கியம் கிட்டியது. அதிகாலையில் சென்றமையினால் சில புகைப்படங்ளை எடுக்க முடிந்நது.

Gimp 2.6 released

Gimp நிறுவனம் தனது Gimp 2.6 இனை அண்மையில் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. அடொபி நிறுவனத்தின் போட்டோசொப் மென்பொருளுக்கு எப்போதும் ஒரு சிறந்த மாற்றீடாக இந்த மென்பொருள் இருந்து வருகின்றது. போட்டோசொப்பிற்கு இணையான இந்த மென்பொருள் இலவசமானது மட்டுமல்ல இது ஒரு திறவூற்று மென்பொருளுமாகும்.

GIMP 2.4.0 was released almost one year ago, but today this popular open-source image editing and graphics program has been replaced by GIMP 2.6. With GIMP 2.6, the toolbox menu bar has been removed and its functionality merged with the main menu bar, toolbox and docks are now a utility window, and there is now also the ability to pan beyond the image border. Additionally, the GIMP free select tool has been greatly improved, there is now brush dynamics capabilities, most color operations now use GEGL (the Generic Graphics Library), and many other changes.
